St Giles San Francisco Bake Sale

This summer we held our first St Giles San Francisco bake sale for charity. The school was able to raise $170 for the San Francisco and Marin county food bank.

Thanks to the baked goods donated by teachers and staff we were able to have a successful event in which students, teachers, and staff alike participated to help feed the needy in San Francisco. As we often hear feedback regarding homelessness in San Francisco from students, we thought it would be nice to hold an event that addressed this issue directly. This event allowed students to take an active role and enable them to feel like they had made a difference here during their stay in San Francisco. In addition, the baked goods were quite delicious and students, teachers, and staff were able to enjoy a tasty snack together while making our community here stronger and friendlier for all.

All in all it was a great success and we look forward to having another bake sale soon!
