What Do TEFL Graduates Look Like?

This infographic reveals relevant statistics about St Giles TEFL graduates. It includes demographic information such as age, gender, and nationality. It also highlights the personal preferences of our graduates. There is information about the type of English now being taught, and the qualities that were most important to our graduates when they chose a language school.

Our TEFL Infographic Results

Most of the students who took St Giles TEFL courses were British and American. However, there were eleven different nationalities of students in total who completed a TEFL course with us, ranging from Australian to Serbian.

St Giles TEFL students were predominately male (61%), and most were between 30-40 years of age. The majority of our TEFL graduates have taught abroad since obtaining their qualifications. The most popular countries they have taught in are Spain, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia and Japan.

English as a Foreign Language: Additional Information

Also included in this infographic are general statistics about students who are interested in learning English throughout the world. For example, did you know that by 2020 there will be 2 billion people studying English? We were also impressed that 500 million non-native English speakers take some form of English classes each year. It may explain why there are 100,000 teaching positions worldwide that are open each year for graduates!
