A Tale of Two Interns

Hello!

My name is Alfons Carlsson and I am one of the new interns here at St Giles in Vancouver.

I am currently working here at the office as a part of my final semester at Linnéaus University in Sweden. This summer I will finish my bachelor´s degree in Political Science and English.

Born and raised in a small coastal city in southeastern Sweden, I grew up playing football and doing my best to try to satisfy my insatiable interest in history. Furthermore I have always been interested in traveling and meeting new people and cultures. Working here at St Giles in Vancouver is a great opportunity for me to get some work experience in an international setting during my studies and meet people from all over the world. I am currently having a great time living in sunstruck Vancouver and I am looking forward to my first swim in the Pacific Ocean.

My name is Jessica and I am one of the new interns here at St Giles Vancouver.

From a small town in Sweden where everybody knows the world is flat, now I doing what I can to get away from that. I started my career at a castle, but of that I’m not going to make a hassle. My previous work as a waitress was fun, but then I decided to get back to Sweden to get my degree done.

Here at St Giles I’m looking forward to mastering the given tasks of administration, in order to be prepared for the life after my graduation. Canadians have a reputation of being very polite, and that I can assure you as a fact is right. My co-workers at the office are welcoming and lovely, my time will fly here; positively.

My plan is to see what Vancouver has to offer, while trying not to make the job suffer.
