The St Giles Explorer Tour departs from our London Juniors campus. From there, the tour begins in historical Liverpool, the birthplace of modern music and the Beatles, and a previous European Capital of Culture. Students will visit the Royal Albert Docks and explore the vibrant shopping and dining quarter of Liverpool One.
In Manchester, a city famous for its football and industrial history, we will be visiting Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club. Students will have the opportunity to discover the interactive Manchester Museum of Science and Industry before visiting the Arndale Centre, one of the premier shopping destinations in the area.
The Explorer Tour will then travel to bustling and lively Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital. Students will delve into the rich, bloody and spooky history of one of the UK’s most interesting cities. The streets are filled with musicians, artists and comedians during August for the world-famous Edinburgh Festival. Students will enjoy the many free performances and shows that take place in the parks and squares.
York, often described as the UK’s home of chocolate, is renowned for its interesting and ancient history, its famous cathedral, York Minster, and its charming medieval streets. Students will take part in a ghost tour and learn about the dark side to this historic town, once capital of England. Our tour offers St Giles students the perfect way to learn by demonstrating what the UK has to offer outside of the classroom.
