Meet Our Interns at St Giles Vancouver!

St Giles Vancouver recently welcomed 2 interns from Sweden. Angela and Asha are both studying at university back home and have been working as part of the team at St Giles Vancouver.

We asked them to tell us a bit more about their internship and their time in Vancouver with St Giles!

  1. Tell us about your internship and what you’ve been doing

Angela – Interning at St.Giles has been an amazing experience. I worked with St.Giles Vancouver’s lovely accommodation officer Tish. Every Monday I did orientation with the new students, showed them around the school and told them about different activities that the school had to offer.

Asha – My internship at St Giles was amazing and I had the opportunity to be a part of an even more amazing team. The work that I did at St Giles was to prepare a welcome package for new students, I also prepared certificates and course reports for graduating students. It was a great experience working at St Giles and meeting new people every day.

  1. How did you choose St Giles?

Angela – A previous student from my university in Sweden recommended St.Giles after he had finished his internship with them. I googled the school and it had amazing reviews and Vancouver city seemed really tempting.

Asha – A student from my university in Sweden had done his internship at St Giles Vancouver and he spoke well of the school.

  1. What are some of your best experiences since you came to Canada?

Angela – Meeting the students from all over the world and actually developing friendships with them has been one of my best experiences here in Canada. I loved working with amazing, supportive and friendly staff at St.Giles Vancouver.

Asha – The best thing about Vancouver is how kind people are here, there is always someone willing to help and talk to you. Also, the amazing weather, mountains and several beaches to enjoy with friends and family.

  1. What are your future plans?

Angela – Future plans are to finish school, get a job and gain more experience and hopefully come back to Vancouver and have more incredible experiences in life with some amazing people.

Asha – I hope that I can find a good job that I love. I am also planning to continue my studies in Political Science and learning new languages.
