St Giles
St Giles had several successful fundraisers across the group this summer including Highgate’s Summer Fair, Vancouver’s Hot Dog Day, Brighton’s Summer Party and London Central’s Charity Concert.
St Giles London Highgate raised £511 at the auction during the summer fair, where items sold included exciting day trips to many locations around the UK including Canterbury, Stonehenge, Oxford and more. Other items that were auctioned off were books, a guitar and even a 2 week General English course!
At the other London school, St Giles London Central, a Charity Concert meant that students could see their teachers and fellow students shine in the spotlight and perform musical and dance pieces. Highlights of the event included student SookHyung Park’s traditional Korean dance routine, and Josh Round’s (Director of Studies) Coldplay impersonation. The concert raised a total of £861 which is a tremendous effort!
On the South Coast, St Giles Brighton had a summer party which was well attended and over £780 was raised for St Giles Charities. The students had a great time and there was even a DJ, which allowed the students to dance the night away.
Across to the West Coast of Canada, our Vancouver school held a Hot Dog Day where they raised a total of $405 to donate to St Giles Charities. Approximately 80 students attended and although it was inside due to the poor weather forecast, the students had a great time!
